1. When and Where is the Air Expo?
Our Air Expo is scheduled for May 31 and June 1. Gates will open at 9:00 a.m. with performances running from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and static displays remaining open until 6:00 p.m.
2. Will the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels be performing? When and where are the performances?
We are proud to announce that The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be our headliner on both days. In addition, there will be an array of modern and vintage military aircraft as well as other military and civilian flying demonstrations.
3. What is the purpose of McGuire hosting an Air Expo and Open House?
The Air Expo and Open House provides Team McGuire with an opportunity to educate the public on the Air Force’s capabilities and say thank you to the Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey communities for their unwavering support throughout the years. We take great pride in opening our gates and hope that we can strengthen our relationships with our neighbors.
4. Is it safe to attend? What type of security measures do you have in place?
Safety is one of the primary concerns at any Air Expo and Open House. Team McGuire is working closely with local, state and federal entities to ensure the highest quality security measures are in place throughout the entire weekend. As a matter of practice, we do not discuss our security measures. However, we do want to stress that the Security Forces is fully prepared to address any situation if necessary.
5. What items can I bring/not bring to the Air Expo?
No coolers, tote bags or pets are permitted. Small fanny packs, small diaper bags, purses, strollers and wagons are permitted, however, they are subject to a hand-search at entry checkpoints. In addition, drinks, food, and folding chairs will be allowed as long as they are not in a carrying case and are hand-held.
6. Where can we find out the schedule for the air expo? When does the flying begin?
Currently, the Air Expo schedule is in coordination. We will post a schedule on the Air Expo Web site as soon as it becomes available. Please be aware that any posted schedule can change for a variety of reasons. McGuire’s gates will open at 9:00 a.m. with performances running from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and static displays remaining open until 6:00 p.m.
7. If it rains, will the show still go on?
Performers usually have various routines that can be performed during inclement weather. Therefore, our Air Expo will not be canceled because of rain. Visitors can also visit aircraft displays and vendor booths. Umbrellas are welcome.
8. Will there be food, beverages, and souvenirs available?
Yes, a wide range of food and gift items will be available for purchase during the Air Expo.
9. Is there an admission fee? Will there be free parking?
The Air Expo and Open House is our way saying thank you to all the communities that support Team McGuire throughout the year. Anyone attending the event will enjoy FREE admission and FREE parking throughout the weekend.
10. What performers are scheduled to perform?
Keep checking back! Performers are currently being scheduled and include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Air Force Reserve Jet Car.
11. Why are the exact times of the performers not listed?
Unfortunately, the schedule is not yet finalized. McGuire’s gates will open at 9:00 a.m. each day. In addition, performances are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. We will post the schedule of events as it becomes available. Please be aware that any posted schedule can change for a variety of reasons.
